Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, "The one who is righteous will live by faith."

Here in the midst of the Bible Belt where I live, it is not hard to stand up and claim a Christian belief. But I remember growing up and wondering whether or not it was 'cool' to hang out with my Christian friends or not. When do we seriously make the committment to Christ and when do we hold back and continue to treat Christianity as an option? I'll attend worship IF the kids don't have a soccer match this morning....

We had a great time at the Gordon Mote concert last night! I have been three years in a row and I think I enjoyed last night's concert the best. I will probably be buying his new CD next month when it is released. We are reading the letters of Paul on Tuesday nights at 6:00 in the library and you are welcome to join us!
